History

The channel was originally launched as Fox, the localized version of the American television network

. The Spanish-language broadcast began on 14 August 1993 and the Portuguese-language broadcast began on 17 September 1994. The channel took part in the worldwide premiere of '' The Walking Dead'' on November 1, 2010, and the Zombie Invasion Event promotion that led up to it. After the final episode of the first season of ''The Walking Dead'' aired, Fox released the uncensored version of the first episode. In December 2010, the channel started using the RTC ratings (''Radio, Televisión y Cinematografía'') in Mexico.
